Rapid City is also home to the South Dakota Army National Guard and Ellsworth Air Force Base that sits on the outside of the city. The popular Dinosaur Park, Storybook Island, Main Street Square, Chapel in the Hills, the Reptile Gardens, the Journey Museum, Museum of Geology, Black hills Cavern, and many other notable places offer much to do and see.
