Much of its economy relies on the airport, which is close to various highways that are close to Coppell, Texas. Even to this day and despite its economic growth, Coppell retains a small-town feel and is home to many attractions.
A farming community was born in 1832, known as “Grapevine Springs.” It was formed in what today is known as Grapevine Springs Park. It was here when settlers began to migrate to the area. By 1846, Dallas County was organized and in 1892 Coppell was formed. As time passed, Coppell had a growing economy. The city built a community that held 116-acre of parks, the featured two lakes and several hiking trails. Many notable parks like Coppell Nature Park, Grapevine Lake, and Andrew Brown Park East attracts visitors and residents alike every year. Coppell is on Interstate Highway 35, Elm Fork of the Trinity River, and Highway 121. It is close to Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Grapevine, and Irving, Texas while also being close to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
