About This Repair Shop

Dealer-Quality Care Without the Dealership Price

For most neighbors in Cape Coral, a mower that won't start or a generator that sputters is a major disruption. At Tri County Small Engine Repair, owner Jeff D. has built a reputation for solving those problems with the kind of technical precision you’d expect from a high-end dealership, but at a much fairer price. With over 16 years of mechanical experience—starting from childhood lessons in his father’s shop—Jeff provides the North Cape area with a local, reliable alternative for keeping all gas-powered equipment in peak condition.

Mastery Over Every Small Engine

Whether you are maintaining a pristine lawn or preparing for storm season, your gear requires more than just a quick fix. Our workshop operates with informed confidence, handling everything from routine seasonal tune-ups to complete engine rebuilds. We don't just limit ourselves to lawnmowers; if it has a small engine and runs on gas, we have the skills to diagnose and repair it correctly the first time.

Our Comprehensive Maintenance and Repair Services:

  • Full carburetor rebuilds and high-precision fuel system service.
  • Advanced engine diagnostics and spark plug replacements for reliable starts.
  • Complete transmission service and tire repairs for riding models.
  • Professional sharpening for mower blades and chainsaw chains.
  • Expert service for a wide range of brands including Honda, Stihl, Generac, and Husqvarna.

The Tri County Edge

What truly sets us apart is our versatility and low-overhead model. While we specialize in residential and commercial lawn equipment, Jeff’s deep mechanical background allows us to service motorcycles, ATVs, scooters, and off-road bikes with equal expertise. By keeping our overhead low at our NE 8th Street shop, we are able to pass those savings directly to you, providing "dealer-quality" work for far less money. It’s a straightforward, high-value approach that ensures your equipment spends more time working and less time in the shop.

A Standard of Neighborhood Reliability

The vibe at Tri County is friendly, grounded, and focused on quality. We understand the unique demands of the Southwest Florida climate on small engines—from the heat to the long growing season—and we treat every piece of equipment as if it were our own. When you bring your gear to Jeff, you’re working with a seasoned pro who values outstanding service and a job done right. We look forward to helping you keep your property, and your toys, running perfectly through every season.

Yes. Most repair shops in Cape Coral, FL service riding mowers, zero-turns, and tractors in addition to push mowers.

Drain the fuel or run the tank empty, disconnect the spark plug, and clean off excess grass and debris. This helps the technician diagnose issues faster.

Many shops offer pickup and delivery services for an additional fee, especially for riding mowers that are difficult to transport.

Look for shops with good reviews, certified technicians, and transparent pricing. Ask about warranties on parts and labor.
